Showcasing the art of select
Canadian contemporary artists
To the patrons of Inglewood Fine Arts:
2019 will be a year of change.
My wife’s retirement and other family considerations will see us moving back to Montreal earlier than we had originally planned. In Montreal, I will continue my association with one of the gallery’s artists, Charles Carson, through a project to convert a recently purchased church into an art center.
Rather than close Inglewood Fine Arts, I have decided to transition to a web based gallery combined with a studio space where artwork may be viewed by appointment. For my remaining time in Calgary, I will be available for appointments at any time at the studio space, which is located in the Inglewood/Ramsay area.
Following my departure, I will remain available for consultation by phone or email but appointments will be handled locally by Brian Imeson of Circa Vintage Glass in Inglewood, with whom I have entered into a business relationship. In addition, some artwork will be on display at Circa for viewing during business hours without an appointment.
The transition will begin in the coming weeks. During the transitional period, Inglewood Fine Arts will operate concurrently from its present location at 1223B Avenue SE and under the new format with Circa at 1226A 9 Avenue SE.
As of March 1st, the gallery will operate only under the new format.
A final reception and group show featuring the local artists of Inglewood Fine Arts will be held on February 16, 2019 from 2 to 5 pm at the current location.
I wish to take this opportunity to thank the many clients, visitors and artists that I have had the privilege and pleasure of meeting and dealing with during these past years and hope that this is simply ‘au revoir’.
